To the east the history and culture is at its strongest on the island, both shown very clearly in the people’s everyday life. Permuteran is a hidden jewel in Bali. Although it is far from the south and the main tourist spots, it offers some of the nicest beaches, and crystal clear water. Excellent for snorkeling and diving, especially around the island of Menjangan where whale sharks have been spotted.
