Day Details

Tsedang is the cradle of Tibetan Civilization. Its the birthplace of the first Tibetans who were said to be the offspring of a monkey and a demoness, so Tsedang literally means "monkeys playground".The mild weather and fertile land in Shannan gestated the great Tibet dynasty. Nowadays we can still visit Tibets first monastery - Samye Monastery, Tibets first building - Yumbulakang Palace in Tsedang.

Day 1: Lhasa

Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest in the afternoon. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day 2: Lhasa

Visit Potola Palace, Johkang temple, and Barkor Market. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day 3: Lhasa

Visit Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, overnight at Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa - Yumbulakang

Morning drive to Tsedang, located by Yarlung Valley, is the capital of Shannan Prefecture. Its reputed as "the cradle of Tibetan Civilization. In the afternoon visit Yumbulakang Palace and Trundruk Monastery. Overnight at Tsedang.

Day 5: Yumbulakang

Todays visit is to Samya Monastery which is the first one built in the 7th century and has three building with different style (Tibetan Hans and India), Overnight at Samye monasatery.

Day 6: rundruk monastery

North-east to the Samye Monastery,a saint place for the Lama and which one wanna to get the achievement in Budhism. It is a popular day hike for the travelers. The walk takes around four or five hours up and three hours down. Overnight at Tsedang.

Day 7: Tsedang

Morning Airport dropping off, end the trip.
