Lhasa-Yumbulakang-Trundruk monastery-Tsedang-Samye Monastery-Tsedang-Yamdrok Lake-Shigatse-Gyantse-Lhasa
Day 1: Lhasa
Lhasa airport picking up, have a good rest in the afternoon. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 2: Lhasa
Visit Potola Palace, Johkang temple, and Barkor Market. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 4: Lhasa - umbulakang
Morning drive to Tsedang, located by Yarlung Valley, is the capital of Shannan Prefecture. Its reputed as “the cradle of Tibetan Civilization”. In the afternoon visit Yumbulakang Palace and Trundruk Monastery. Overnight at Tsedang.
Day 5: umbulakang
Todays visit is to Samya Monastery which is the first one built in the 7th century and has three building with different style (Tibetan Hans and India), Overnight at Tsedang.
Day 6: rundruk monastery
Up to Kambala pass which is 4794m high, you will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso there. It is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Then drive back to chushul, along Nepal friendship way to Shigatse, we will go to visit the residence of Panchen Lama-Tshilhunpo Monastery. Tashilhunpo’s magnificent outside leaves you gasp in admiration, the inside of this monastery introduces you more religious tranquility and sincerity. then sightseeing at the Old Town of Shigatse, a great place to wander around. Overnight at Shigatse.
Day 7: Tsedang
After breakfast, drive to Gyantse, only 90km from Shigatse. You will visit the famous stupa - Gyantse Kumpum, the most stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along the friendship way. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 8: Samye Monastery
Morning Airport dropping off, end the trip.
