Romantic Days in Peru

7 Days / 6 Nights (Tour Code: PER-01)
Lima-Cusco-Lima
Celebrate a mystical wedding in the City of the Incas. This special ceremony, presided over by an Andean priest, will take place in the beautiful Llaullipata Reserve, just 15 minutes from the city of Cusco. You will celebrate your wedding or wedding vow renewal ceremony in the midst of breathtaking countryside and make an offering to mountain spirits called Apus, which represent the masculine side, and to the earth mother called Pacha Mama, which represents the feminine side.

Day 1: Lima

The day begins with a tour of Lima’s historic city center, the famous “City of the Kings” and UNESCO World Heritage site. You will walk about the Main Square and be awed by the incredible landmarks that have been built around it. Next, you will go to the Santo Domingo Convent, a 16th century architectural masterpiece where lie the earthly remains of two of the city’s patron saints: Rose of Lima and San Martin de Porres. Later, you will continue on to the city’s modern sectors: the exclusive district of San Isidro, Lima’s new financial center, and Miraflores, with a stop at the “Parque del Amor” (a sort of lover’s lane) and its incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. The last site on the tour is the Larco Museum, whose specially selected private collection shows more than 3000 years of Pre-Columbian history. You will end the day with a romantic dinner.

Day 2: Lima - Cusco

You will leave Lima today by air to Cusco, and once you have landed, you will venture into the warm Urubamba Valley, also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas because it was incredibly valuable to the development of the Incan culture. Through the valley runs the Vilcanota or Urubamba River, and the richness of the valley soil gave life to the towns that still thrive on its banks. You are going to have a fun-filled water adventure kayaking on Lake Huaypo, a lovely body of crystalline water, located at an elevation of 3657 meters. Afterwards, you will enjoy a picnic on the lakeshore, a very special setting with an amazing view in the background.

Day 3: Cusco

You are going to visit the famous and picturesque town of Pisac, located northeast of Cusco at an elevation of 2950 meters. It was founded by the Spanish in 1570, and is filled with quaint adobe houses of white walls and blue balconies. You will walk about the town, hang out in its famous market, enjoying some free time to interact with the locals and artisans and shopping for incredible handicrafts and souvenirs. Your next stop is the town of Ollantaytambo, a lovely town constructed by the Incas, whose streets are cobble stoned and where a man-made canal brings fresh water right into the city limits. At the top part of the town, there is an impressive ceremonial center that was used for water worship and a mighty fortress that protected the access point to the lower part of the valley. A day as intense as this one should end with time in the spa, enjoying body treatments that use Andean ingredients that have been grown for thousands of years. The height of relaxation.

Day 4: Cusco

You are going to visit one of the most important energy centers of the world: Machu Picchu. You will travel by train to the town of Aguas Calientes, an experience in which you will see the striking scenery of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After you arrive, you will take a bus to the Machu Picchu archeological site and tour its every nook and cranny in the company of a professional guide who will tell you the history that envelopes this mysterious and enchanting place: an unforgettable experience. Once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate.
