This fantastic trip will take you to the historic sites from the Great Mongolian Empire (13-15th century AD) in the heart of the world. It will be our pleasure to introduce these sites to you from their historical and cultural perspective and share our glorious histories with you. You will visit the first center of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolia - the Erdenezuu monastery and the ruins of the capital city from the ancient empire and will also enjoy the beautiful marble monuments from the Turkic state 5-7 Century AD and its stories. On the way back to Ulaanbaatar we will stop at beautiful Khustai National Park to see the only living wild horse in the world- the Takhi aka Przewalski horse and the enjoy a perfect relaxing day in amazing Gun-Galuut and meet the real nomads.

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, meet at the airport and transfer to hotel, city tour: visit Gandan Monastery, the Museum of Mongolian National History and the Genghis monument on the Sukhbaatar square.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar - Elsen Tasarkhai

Drive to Elsen tasarhai through the green grassland with a stop in Ulaanbaatar for lunch, arrive at the stunning sand dunes, streams and rocky mountains, hiking around.

Day 3: Elsen Tasarkhai

Drive to Kharakhorum, visit the historic sites such as the legendary Erdene-Zuu monastery and its surroundings like ruins of Tumen Amgalant Palace and the Phallic Rock.

Day 4: Elsen Tasarkhai - Karakorum

Drive back towards Ulaanbaatar, transfer to Hustai National Park, where the Takhi wild horses graze peacefully with other wild animals. Ger camp overnight.

Day 5: Karakorum

Drive to famous Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve, hiking/optional horse riding to Mt Baits for wildlife viewing, to the river Kherlen for birdwatching.

Day 6: Karakorum - Ulaanbaatar

Leisure day in Gun-Galuut for visits to nomadic families and optional kayaking, fishing or boating on the river Kherlen or some hikes and swimming.

Day 7: Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar, sightseeing in city: visit Bogd Khans Palace Museum and Zaisan memorial and shopping time. Enjoy a traditional folklore concert by Tumen Ekh ensemble. Farewell dinner.
