Day 1: Habarana
Transfer to Habarana where we stay for 4 night.
Day 2: Habarana - Anuradhapura
Visit Anuradhapura, the island’s ancient capital. Sightseeing includes the dagobas (pagodas), and the sacred Bo tree, scion of the original tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment.
Day 3: Anuradhapura - Habarana
Morning visit the ruins of Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of the country, along with the Gal Vihara rock sculptures.
Day 4: Habarana
Visit the Rock fortress of Sigiriya - the 600-feet-high rock is a steep climb
Day 5: Habarana - Polonnaruwa
Drive to Kandy, visiting the Dambulla Cave Temple en route.
Day 6: Polonnaruwa - Habarana
At the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela, we have the chance of seeing baby elephants being bottle-fed and elephants having a bath. Later, we visit the famous botanical gardens at Peradeniya.
Day 7: Habarana
A scenic drive to the tea country of Nuwara Eliya, visiting a tea factory en route.
Morning drive to Horton Plains, on a windswept saddle at 7,000 feet, for a hike to the Bakers Falls and World’s End, with a sheer 1,000-foot vertical drop.
Day 10: Habarana
Early morning and afternoon jeep safaris.
Drive to the World Heritage city of Galle, noted for the Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church), and National Maritime Museum.
Day 13: Kandy
