Day 1: Diani Moshi
Pickup from the hotel at 6 am followed by a drive along the Taveta Border. After appropriate visa proceedings, proceed to the Land of Kilimanjaro Moshi, where you check into your hotel for lunch. Evening free for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Kilimanjaro National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kilimanjaro National Park gate that denotes the start of the climb through the rain forest to the humble Mandara Hut that stands at 2750m above sea level. Overnight at the place.
Day 3: Horombo Hut
After the breakfast, leave behind the forest glades for ascending openmoorlands that follows right up to Horombo hut that stands at 3700m above sea level. Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.
Day 4: Kibo
Following breakfast, keep on climbing to pass ‘The Last water’. Walk on the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi to arrive at Kibo Hut that stands at 4700m above sea level. Overnight stay at Kibo Hut.
Day 5: Mawenzi
Get an early start for the heavy and steep scree leading to Gilmans Point at 5681 m that lies at the crater rim. Climb up to the Uhuru Peak that is said to be the highest point in Africa at 5896 m. After getting some memorable shots of the place, start your downwards descent to Horombo hut. Overnight stay at Hut.
Day 6: Uhuru Peak
The day is spent in your downwards descent to the park gates where you get a certificate of your climb. You are then driven back to your Moshi hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Moshi
After breakfast, depart to Voi Town for lunch. Later drive back to Diani to arrive in the evening to your hotel.End of the Trek.
