Day 1: Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi International airport. Upon arrival, greet and meet at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur
Post breakfast at the hotel in the morning, transfer for sightseeing of the city of Delhi. Visit the famous monuments like the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7K','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Qutub Minar</a> and the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'LTE','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Lotus Temple</a>.
<a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7K','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Qutub Minar</a> is the tallest man made brick structure in India, dating back to the 12th century. Verses from the Koran adorn the walls of this beautiful Minaret. Next stop would be the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'LTE','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Lotus Temple</a>, which as its name suggest has a lotus shaped dome and is the place of worship for the Bahai people. However people of all faiths are welcome inside.
Later in the afternoon transfer to the Safdarjung Railway terminus to board the famous: “PALACE ON WHEELS”.
On the railway station, you will be treated like Maharaja & Maharani on welcome by garlanding, Tikka and turban with glass of wine. The tour starts in the evening with a ceremonial welcome aboard the Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung New Delhi. You will be introduced to your fellow travellers. Feel free to explore your new palace, and acquaint yourself with its various facilities. Relax with a drink at the bar. Dinner will be served on board in its two restaurants.
The train will leave for Jaipur.
Day 3: Jaipur
Thursday, Arrival 3.45 AM Departure 8.00 PM
Jaipur, the fascinating Pink city, capital of the state of Rajasthan, is the first stop of Palace on Wheels. One of the most well planned cities of the world of its time, Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh II, in1727 A.D.
The tour begins at the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'AU2','JAI','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Hawa Mahal</a> Palace of wind followed the amazing Jantar Mantar-Astronomical Observatory are to be explored at leisure.
The home of the erstwhile rulers, the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'AN2','JAI','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">City Palace</a>, is now a museum of full royal splendour. Jaipur also offers a great shopping experience since the city is the country's capital as far as handicrafts are concerned.
Proceed for lunch at the Amer Fort. Soon after reaching, you can enjoy the festively decorated elephant for a ride up to the fort. Post lunch visit the fort, which is the best example of splendid fusion of Rajput and Mughal style of Architecture.
Return back to train by bus for fresh n up. After some rest, enjoy sumptuous dinner on board. The train will depart for Sawai Madhopur from Durgapura Railway Station Jaipur at 2000 hrs.
Day 4: Jaipur - Sawai Madhopur
Friday, Sawai Madhopur : Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.20 AM
Early in the morning, transfer to the Ranthambore national park.
A 1000 year old Ranthambore Fort of great historical importance atop a high hill stand tall remain of the historical part cenotaphs, tombs, stepped well, summer palace etc, have all merged harmoniously in to the sprawling forest.
Three big lakes- Padam Talav, Malik Talav and Raj bag- are alike turquoises studded in the vast tract. Though a delicate eco system, Ranthambore is dynamic in the diversity and density of fauna it supports. Tiger at the apex of the food chain lords over the kingdom in a subtle way solitary by nature. It operates with stealth. Quite naturally tiger sighting are always a matter of chance, though evidences of its activities are equally exciting other than tigers you may have opportunity to see 24 different species of mammals, spotted deer, sambhar, wild boar, Indian Gazel, Jungal cat, Panthers, Jackal, Hynas Rarely sloth bears, also almost 300 different kind of birds.
Return back to Palace on Wheels. Breakfast on Board.
Lunch on Board.
Enjoy the afternoon on train as it travels the lush green country side before arriving to Chittorgarh.
Arrival 4.00 PM Departure 2.00 AM
Chittorgarh Fort is considered as one of the largest forts of India. <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A5C','COR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The Fort</a> is accessible after ceremony seven gates. <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A5B','COR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Rana Kumbha Palace</a> and Padamini Palace in <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A5C','COR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The Fort</a> are considered as master pieces of Rajput architecture Padmini Palace had been the residence of beautiful queen Rani Padmini.
In the year 1313 Alaudhin Khilji after knowing about the beauty of the queen attack on <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A5C','COR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The Fort</a>. But the Rani performed Johar (suicide by setting self on fire).
The victory tower built by Maharana Kumbha in the memory of victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujrat in 15th Century. This tower is the symbolic identity of Chittorgarh.
Later witness, the sound and light programme at fort.
Later transfer to the train and dinner on board.
The train, will start for Udaipur later in the night.
Day 5: Sawai Madhopur
Saturday, Arrive at Udaipur at 0800 hrs.
The city of <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'ATN','UDR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Lakes</a>, Udaipur, is perhaps one of the most beautiful and romantic cities of India. In contrast with its desert neighbourhood, it stands out with its enchanting image of white marble palaces, placid blue <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'ATN','UDR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Lakes</a>, gardens, temples surrounded by hills and mountains. It is an oasis of colour in the stark arid region and so indeed is the Venice of east. Post breakfast on board, transfer for sightseeing of the city.
Visit the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'SKB','UDR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Sahelion ki Bari</a> and the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'ATJ','UDR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">City Palace</a>. Also visit the beautiful Crystal gallery.
Lunch at Palace Hotel. Post Lunch take boat ride on <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'LKP','UDR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Lake Pichola</a>. Post the Boat Ride transfer back to the train.
Evening Tea on board. Later the train will pull off the station and proceed to the Golden city of Jaisalmer. Dinner will be on board.
Day 6: Sawai Madhopur - Chittorgarh
Sunday, Jaisalmer: Arrival 9.15 AM Departure 11.30 PM
Known as the Golden City of Rajasthan, it gets the name from the local yellow sandstone which is widely used in its structures. The western most citadel of the desert, Jaisalmer has an ancient history linked with its development as a trading centre. Located en-route one of the two passages, which connected India with Persia, Egypt, Africa and West. The golden fortress, which stands magnificently overlooking the city, is the main attraction of Jaisalmer.
Post lunch visit the beautiful <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'AD3','JSA','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Havelis</a> of the city.
Evening the guests will be taken to the Golden Sand dunes with Camel ride. On the sweeping sand dunes enjoy the romance of solitude at Kuldhara and your camel takes you deep in the thar desert, the Sun - set here is the most awaited experience. This extravagant experience is followed by the cultural performance & campfire with dinner on dunes.
Later transfer back to the train and transfer to Jodhpur.
Day 7: Chittorgarh - Udaipur
Monday, Jodhpur Arrival 7.00 AM Departure 4.30 PM
Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan. It is situated on the western border of India, on the edge of the Thar desert. Upon arrival, you shall be greeted with a special welcome.
Later transfer for sightseeing of the mighty Mehrangarh fort. The city best known for its indigo-hued homes and buildings, Jodhpur is the former capital of the Marwar. The Mehrangarh Fort was built by Rao Jodha in 1459 and later his successions also added new structures.
The royal structure boast their own saga of security and beauty the perl palace has a delicately carved stone screen, umaid vilas displays the Rajput miniature paintings and the ajit vilas exhibits musical instruments and the royal costumes.
Lunch at a 5 star hotel, and later transfer to the train. Dinner on board and later journey to Bharatpur.
In the evening visit the crystal gallery. Later proceed to Bharatpur on board Palace on Wheels
Day 8: Udaipur
Tuesday, Bharatpur Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AM
Bharatpur A royal kingdom where the jats, rather than the Rajputs, ruled. Bharatpur's Jat History is not too old, with Suraj Mal establishing a firm stronghold in a region contested by both the Rajputs and the Mughals. The fort, Lohargarh, or Iron Fort, has a history that recounts it with pride. The only fort in the state to have bastions of mud, these proved meritorious because they simply swallowed up the cannon shells not allowing them to impact.
Visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park one of the finest bird sanctuaries in India. Over three hundred species of birds many of them migrant species that come from parts as distant as Siberia and China, can be sited here.
Breakfast on Board and then transfer to Agra.
Agra : Arrival 11.00 AM Departure 7.30 PM
Agra…the majestic capital of the Mughals has placed itself in the world map as the most sought after destination in the world. The city of <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A09','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Taj Mahal</a> as it is known to the world, it is also a city of magical splendours and city having the most magnificent monuments in India, standing testimony to its glorious past.
Later transfer to visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A10','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The Agra Fort</a>. From the sight of it the magnificent structure in Red Sand Stone looks strong and invincible. The fort is built with Red Sand stone and is supposed to be the predecessor of the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7J','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Red Fort</a> of Delhi. Many buildings inside the fort were built by Shahajehan, unique among which is the stunning pearl mosque. The only building that remains which was built by Akbar is the Jehangiri Mahal, which stands in stark contrast with the rest as it has dominating Hindu architecture.

Later visit the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A09','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Taj Mahal</a>. The grandeur called the Taj is perhaps the most photographed, filmed, described and sketched building of the world. <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A09','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Taj Mahal</a> is where fantasy coincides with reality in perfect harmony. An inspiration for in-numerous artists over the centuries, the Taj is an ode to love. An epitome of love the world has ever seen which no monument in the world can match. The splendour and the beauty of this pleasant edifice brings one back to experience the magic of this majestic structure. The beauty of the Taj is in its simplicity. It is rare that a person would not fall in love with the pure and simple beauty in white.
Visit to the Taj is perfect finale to this Royal sojourn.
Back to the train. Dinner will be on board. Later the train will start back for Delhi.
Day 9: Udaipur - Jaisalmer
Wednesday 0800 hrs
The train will reach New Delhi and breakfast will be served on board. Post breakfast check out of the train.
Here you will be met by our office representative and ushered to the Coach / car. From here transfer to visit the beautiful monument of <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7L','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Humayun's Tomb</a>. The tomb of the father of Akbar the great, Humayun, is supposed to be first Indo - Islamic buildings of India. This beautiful structure is also known as the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by the widow of Humayun and one of stepmothers of Akbar, Hajji Begum in the 16th century, this red sand stone structure has Humayuns soul resting in peace. The perfect symmetrical structure offers a marvellous view of the well-laid gardens and the fountains.
Later transfer for Lunch at a local restaurant.
Post Lunch visit the National Museum, which houses some of the best artefacts in India. Later drive pass the famous <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A7M','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">India Gate</a>, <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'PTH','DEL','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Parliament House</a> and the President's house.
Time free for shopping. Post shopping, special dance drama and dinner will be arranged. Post dinner transfer to International airport to take flight back home.
