India Nepal Buddhist tour from Kolkata
Kolkata-Gaya-Rajgir-Nalanda-Bodhgaya-Varanasi-Agra-Delhi-Kathmandu-Pokhra-Bhaktapur-Kathmandu
Day 1: Kolkata
Take evening flight from Kunming to Kolkata. Upon arrival at Kolkata, greet and meet and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Morning post breakfast take a city Tour of Kolkata. Visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'VTM','CCU','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Victoria Memorial</a> a relic of the colonial era; drive pass the famous Howrah Bridge, nearly floating majestically over the mighty Ganga River. Later visit the Tagore House. After Lunch transfer to railway station for the train to Gaya. Dinner on train and overnight on train.
Day 3: Gaya
Early morning arrive at Gaya station and direct transfer to Rajgir. Upon arrival at Rajgir, have breakfast at the hotel and sightseeing of the Griddhakuta hills and the Saptaparni caves. Post Lunch transfer to Nalanda. Visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'AIE','NLD','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The ruins of the university</a> and the Xuan Zang museum. Later transfer to Bodhgaya by road. Upon arrival check in and have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning post breakfast at the hotel, visit the famous Buddha temple and the Bodhi tree, where lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Back to hotel, take lunch and check out from the hotel to transfer to Varanasi by road. Evening upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Later transfer to the Ganga Ghat to witness the evening Aarati.
Wake up before sunrise and transfer to the Ghats of the Ganges River to take the boat ride. Witness the sun rise through the waters and also see the Hindu morning rituals taking place in the water. Back to the hotel and have breakfast. Post breakfast transfer to visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'AUC','VNS','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Saranath</a>. Visit the deer park and the museum, later back to hotel for Lunch. Post lunch and some rest transfer to Agra by overnight train. Dinner and overnight stay on train.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Check in and have breakfast. Post some rest visit the <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A09','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">Taj Mahal</a>. Back to hotel for Lunch. Later visit <a class="PIInfosoft-placeName" onclick="openAttractionDescriptionPopup('en', 'A10','AGR','IND','India');" data-target="#PopUp5" href="javascript:void(0)" data-toggle="modal">The Agra Fort</a>. Evening free to visit the local marble and handicraft showrooms. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Bodhgaya
Early morning take a cold breakfast at the hotel and leave for Delhi by road, by 0500 hrs. Upon arrival at Delhi, directly transfer to the International airport to take the flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Evening time free to go around the city. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Post breakfast in the morning transfer for sightseeing of the city. Visit the durbar square and the Swayambhunath temple. Post Lunch transfer to Pokhra by road. Upon arrival at POkhra, check in at the hotel. Evening free to go around the city. In the evening enjoy dinner with local folk dance and music. Overnight's stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Varanasi
Morning see the sun rise over the Himalayas. You may take an optional flight and pay by yourself. Later transfer to visit the Fewa lake and its natural surroundings. Later day free for the personal activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel
After beak fast, take bus to Kathmandu, lunch at Kathmandu. Afternoon visit PATAN CITY , the city is named as the world cultural heritage site by UNESCO. After that transfer to Bhaktapur and overnight at Bhaktapur.
Day 11: Agra
After beak fast, visit Bhaktapur, the palace of 55 windows and the golden city. Later transfer back to Kathmandu. . Evening take flight back to Kunming.
