Day 1: Athens - MARINA ZEAS
Friday
Embarkation 2-3 pm. Welcome cocktail party. Sail in the evening to Delos, passing Cape Sounion in the distance, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand on a high promontory and are illuminated at night.
Day 2: MARINA ZEAS
Saturday
Enjoy a morning optional visit to Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. On a guided tour, you’ll visit the archaeological ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, unearthed here in the 19th century. Next, we sail to one of Mykonos beautiful bays for a nice swim stop and lunch, weather permitting. Later in the afternoon we will sail into Mykonos main port. We’ll explore the archaeological museum or maritime museum, and stop to visit a bakery that has been turning out bread since the 15th century. At the conclusion of the tour, we will enjoy a glass of ouzo and traditional "mezedes" appetizers or enjoy Mykonos world famous night life.
Day 3: DELOS
Sunday
At daybreak we leave Mykonos to reach the island of Lipsi for a revitalising swim stop and a barbeque on deck. In the afternoon, we set sail for Samos. Overnight in Samos.
Day 4: MYKONOS
Monday
Today our explorations of ancient civilizations continue with an optional tour to Ephesus, the greatest archaeological site in the Aegean region. After lunch, free time at the Kusadasi’s bustling market before we sail for Patmos the spectacular island featuring whitewashed houses with colourfully painted shutters and doors and stone-paved streets.Overnight in Patmos.
Day 5: Samos, Greece
Tuesday
Your optional Patmos excursion includes two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Grotto and Monastery of St. John and the historic center of the medieval town of Chora. After lunch we will sail to the picturesque island of Amorgos which we reach in the evening. Overnight in Amorgos.
Day 6: Kusadasi, Turkey (Ephesus)
Wednesday
Santorini, formed by the half-submerged crescent of a volcanic caldera. You will go ashore and take a cable car to the town of Fira, a stunning cluster of white buildings atop a cliff. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided optional walking tour among Fira’s streets. You’ll also visit the Prehistoric Museum, which houses fascinating artifacts from Akrotiri, a city buried in the eruption that created the caldera in 1600 B.C. In the evening free time for a visit to Oia, famous for its sunset. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 7: Patmos, Greece
Thursday
In the morning arrive in Kythnos Island where you will enjoy a swim in Kolones Bay. In the afternoon we sail for Marina Zea where we will arrive in the late afternoon. Overnight in port.
Day 8: Patmos
Friday
After breakfast, it is time for you to bid farewell to your fellow passengers and to your crew and disembark.
