Day 1: Dhaka
Arrive at Dhaka Zia Int’l Airport. Reception and transfer to the hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon 5*l. Half day city sightseeing covering the Sadarghat Water Front, Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace), Lalbagh Mughal Fort, Dhakeswari National Temple, Central Shahid Minar, National Parliament Building (due to traffic congestion all interested place may not covered within the time available). Dinner & stay overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Dhaka - Bagerhat
After breakfast drive to Mongla via Maoa and Bagerhat by reserved A/C transport. Visit the 60 domed Khan Jahan Ali Mosuqe the world heritage site at Bagerhat. Reach Mongla and board the cruising vessel onward to Sundarbans Forest. Stop Dhaingmari Forest Station for registration and to get the forest armed guards. Start cruising through the river Pashur onward to Pashur Island (kakil Moni) which will take 5-6 hours cruising through the different rivers and passing forest covered islands like Harbaria, Choraputia, Kagaboga and Jhapa. Anchor the boat. Dinner & overnight on the boat.
Day 3: Bagerhat
Early morning board the country boat to cruise through the Jhapa and Kokilmoni canal for bird watching and to observe the herd of spotted deer and wild boars. The early part of the morning is a high time to locate the hungry tiger if he had eventually failed to grab his pray during the preceding night. Return to boat and after breakfast explore the attractive Tinkona Island at the confluence of Mora Pashur – Sivsa – Marjat Rivers. These Virgin Islands are famous for different species of wild animals like Royal Bengal Tiger, big herds of spotted deer, Wild Boar, Rhesus Monkey. This is the island where late king of Nepal Raja Mahendra spent long hours on the tree top machan to observe the tiger. After lunch proceed to Hironpoint by crossing the great expanse of the Marjat estuary (15 km. wide). In the afternoon take a long cruising by country boat through the Balirgang canal and enjoy wild animals and shore birds. Probability of finding a swimming tiger or locate a sitting tiger behind the bush will keep your good patient always to be watchful. Dinner and overnight stay on the boat.
Day 4: Mongla
After bed tea set out for canal cruising by a country boat to Liaquat Math(Hiron Point) and disembark the boat to track through the deep inside the forest cover to explore island on foot (2 hrs. walking). During this long walking you can positively expect to meet several wild animals and even the tiger if you can maintain complete silence in your stepping. As soon as you reach to the vessel start cruising towards Kotka Island by crossing coastal water of the Bay of Bengal which will take 3-4 hrs. to reach the destination. En route we can stop the vessel at the famous Dubla Island to see the fish landing and sun drying the catches throughout the costal belt of this island. There are more than 60 thousand fishermen who are engaged in these activities for 3/4 months during the winter by constructing huts on the shore.
Day 5: Sunderbans
Early in the morning we will go for a canal cruise by country boat will be organize through the Zamtala Canal to observe the wild life & for bird watching. You can enjoy the forest on the watch tower to get the real symphony at the very opening of morning. Return to boat for breakfast & enjoy the adventurous forest tracking through the deep covered forest for 9 km marathon walking heading towards Kachikhali Islands. During this tracking we will cross a few creeks, stroll through the tiger beach and savanna type of grass lands. Some tigers live in this island. In the evening explore the forest cover of the beach side jungle which is a favorite place of escape of the tiger and stroll through the long grass lands where tiger takes the cover-up behind the bush for hunting its targeted pray. During the expedition of the grass lands you can expect big herds of spotted deers, wild boar and sudden appearance of the Royal Bengal Tiger may be your most memorable exciting experience. Overnight on the boat.
Day 6: Sundarban
Early morning take a silent boat cruising by country boat & explore the attractive island named ‘Egg Island’ and ‘Pakkhir Char’ (Bird Island). This tiny and charming egg island of 15 sq. km. area is still at the early stage of succession. Here you will find young mangroves already covered its major land. Spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys already migrated from the mainland of tiger point by swimming 5 km. estuary water and formed an ideal habitat. To follow the natural process the adventure loving Tigress also could follow the marathon swimming to reach this island as a safe shelter for giving birth and nursing her cubs in this virgin island. There is another new island named ‘Pakkhir Char (Birds Island) still in formation level. This island is surrounded by beautiful bays and quiet beaches of white sands. The migratory birds usually find this island as a safe harbor. Our boat will sail for Mongla / Khulna by racing with high tide to cross about 100 km. river ways through the forest. Get off the cruising boat & transfer to Jessore to avail the domestic flight to Dhaka. Overnight stay at Dhaka.
