Description: Shaam-E-Sarhad Village Resort - You will be the honoured guest of the Hodka community-who own, build and run the Shaam-E-Sarhad ('Sunset on the Border') village resort. Experience the charm of staying in kachchhi mud huts - bhungas, with mud walls, mud floor, a mud bed... under a thatch roof; sit out nighs by a bonfire, under a wide open sky peppered thick with stars, listening to Kachchhi Folk music rendered in reedy voices... in a magical gateway at Shaam-e-Sarhad Village Resort, Hodka, a hours' drive from Bhuj.... Shaam-E-Sarhad is a village resort hand-crafted by the indigenous people of Hodka village. The local community staffs provides the traditonal hospitality of the region. You can choose to stay in tents or a traditional Bhungas (mud huts) both have attached bathrooms and runnig water. Room service is available for snacks and beverages. You can shop for exclusive embrodery pieces, leather crafts, traditinal textiles, lacquer work, etc. Food: Traditional food will be served. Kachchhi dinner of bajara ni roti with ghee and gud, followed by Khichdi-kadhi with kachchhi folk music. Accommodation at Shaam-e-Sarhad is comfortable, simple and clean. The rooms are set up in local style and decorated with crafts of the area, creating an authentic atmosphere. There are different types of accommodation at the resort: Tents, Family Tents and Bhungas. All of them have attached bathrooms with a western-style toilet and shower with running water. The Bhungas are circular mud huts with sloping roofs, typical of the Banni region. Each Bhungas has a private open space with arm chairs, an ideal place to relax and look out into nothingness. The Tents and Bhungas can normally accommodate 2 people, and the Family Tents 4 people. Extra beds are available on request. There are a total of 7 Tents, 2 Family Tents and 3 Bhungas at the resort.

Room Facility: Accommodation is simple, clean and comfortable. You can choose to stay in a Tent or in a traditional Bhunga (a circular hut with sloping roofs, typical of the Banni region) - both furnished with attached baths and running water. Room service is available for snacks and beverages (Alcohol is not served, in compliance with the State law).
