Description: La maison de Ananda(The house of happiness) is the first bamboo cottage in the world's largest river island Majuli,the cottage was built by a western traveller. Later on it was gifted to a local Mising family when the traveller went back to his own country. The property is a combination of bamboo huts & newly constructed regular concrete rooms which are very spacious and clean. It's run by a friendly tribal family, and the kitchen cooks up a range of good food including tasty Mishing dinners. The bamboo hut rooms are modest, comfortable and stunning! All the furniture is bamboo giving the entire space a rather rustic, earthy feel. The terrace is for you to lounge about at. The bamboo recliners padded with mattresses are super comfy.
