Description: This comparatively new hotel is just 2 and a half years old and is a towering building with 7 floors. The 5th, 6th and 7th floors in the building have rooms. This towering structure stands amidst many others in Salt Lake City near Kolkata and is referred to as the IT Business Hotel. Lobby Hotel lobby has classical Indian music playing within its premises. The lobby is on two levels. On entering the hotel, the reception table is on the right with a glass top and wood & steel base. The ceiling is high with halogen lights illuminating the lobby and reception. Three clocks are mounted on the wall with timings of the capitals in different time zones. On the second level is the lobby seating area with various coloured pattern sofas, wall to wall carpeting, stone pillars and wooden centre glass top tables. Another floors balcony looks over this area like a courtyard sort of scenario. The lobby is also lined with many plants within partitions on the sides of the lobby. The rooms are divided into categories of Executive rooms which are the lowest category, Superior rooms and Premium rooms which are the highest category. The facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, air conditioning, telephones with STD/ISD/local calling facility through the reception, 24 hours free internet access, tea/coffee maker, 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water per day, minibar, 24 hours hot and cold running water and 24 hours room service. The Premium and Superior rooms have bathtubs in the washrooms, a fruit basket on arrival and soft drinks complimentary for the guests. The Executive room has wooden flooring and is furnished with a bed with a wooden headboard, a checked bedcover blanketing the mattress, matching checked curtains, a wooden study table and chair with a mirror in front of it and in the small seating space is an armchair with a round wooden coffee table sitting pretty in front of it. The washroom has a shower area with the basic toiletries. The Premium rooms are larger spaces in hues of green. It is furnished and upholstered with pale green curtains, a yellow wall behind the bed and a smart seating space. The washroom is much bigger too with a bathtub, pale yellow tiles walls, a full length mirror on the washroom door, basic toiletries and telephones in the washrooms. The rooms are pleasant spaces and worth spending your time in.
