Description: The first lodge to be built in Pangot, Mountain Quail Lodge was established in 1995 - a time when this area was completely unheard of. Named after the mysterious bird that is now known as the ‘Himalayan Quail’ and was last spotted in the area in 1876. Our lodge is well hidden amongst Oak, Rhododendron and other Himalayan trees, over time we have let nature take its course and left the foliage completely untouched. Our accommodation has been built to blend in perfectly with the forest. This invites many birds and smaller mammals to our property; you are very likely be woken up by the White Throated Laughingthrush noisily looking for insects outside your window! We have a total of seven rooms and two safari tents at Mountain Quail Lodge. Four of our rooms are in the Cottage that also has a common living area – perfect for a group of friends or family! The rest of our rooms are in cosy log cabins. The Cottage is perched at the highest point of our property and commands panoramic views of the hills around us. In the months of spring the adjoining woodlands turn to a mass of red as the Rhododendron trees start to flower.
