Located on the south side of Galesburg, across from a park and garden,this home is the birthplace of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and Lincoln biographer Carl Sandburg.The next door Visitor`s Center contains a museum,museum shop, small theater,a small theatre.The museum contains hundreds of artifacts and modern colorful displays.
The Galesburg Railroad Museum features a history of railroading in Galesburg since the CB and Q came to Galesburg in 1850`s.
Opened in 1916 as a Vandeville house, the Opheum Hosted many early stars of stage and screen.
