Once the former home of Joshua Chamberlain, a Civil War hero and Maine Governor, this beautiful home is filled with artifacts and exhibits that relate to Mr. Chamberlain, his extraordinary career, and his family.
Some of the famous former residents of this home include Dr. Frank Whittier, one of the first forensic pathologists in the U.S., and Dr. Alice A.S. Whittier, one of the first female pediatricians in Maine.
