The Ansley Wilcox family, friends of Theodore owned this early 19th century Greek revival mansion. It became the site of Roosevelt`s Presidential inauguration in 1901 following the assassination of President William McKinley, and so was named the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site.The only National Park Service location in Western NY, its displays include items related to the assassination and inauguration.
