    It is the capital of the State of Florida, USA.Tallahassee is the home of Florida State University, Florida A&M University, Tallahassee Community College and branches of Barry University, and Flagler College.Tallahassee is noted for its hilly terrain, and the state capitol is located on one of the highest hills in the city.Tallahassee is proud of its scientific contributions, showing off with a 5-story IMAX theater and planetarium, and the Mary Brogan Museum of Arts and Science. The surrounding area also boasts freshwater springs, wildlife preserves, historic plantations etc.

This is one of the few state parks with dry (air filled) caves and is the only Florida state park to offer cave tours to the public. The cave has dazzling formations of limestone stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, flowstones, and draperies. Florida Caverns is also popular for camping, swimming, fishing, picnicking, canoeing, boating, hiking, bicycling.
The only go-cart track and thrill ride in the area is located at this family amusement center which also features a 36 hole miniature golf course, a 20,000 square foot arcade, an Actual Reality Laser Tag arena, batting cages, and bumper boats.
This magnificent estate hosted social and political functions for decades and was originally begun as a cotton and corn plantation that encompassed 2,400 acres. This turn-of-the-century country estate is now situated on 19 beautiful acres and is one of the finest Antebellum plantation houses ever built in the region. The collections and furnishings are all original to the house and visitors are welcome to explore the extensive gardens on site.
You can experience marine biology through interactive touch aquariums and demonstration programs while at this aquarium and laboratory that invites visitors to pick up and touch sea creatures such as sea anemones, urchins, octopuses, shrimp, estuarine fish, starfish, sea pansies, sand dollars, whelks, clams, and many more.
One of only a few museums in the United States which combines a natural habitat zoo, a collection of historical buildings and artifacts, and an environmental science center, this unique museum is nestled on 52 beautiful lake side acres and includes live animal exhibits, nature trails, an authentic 1880s farmstead, a hands-on Discovery Center, a birds of prey aviary, and reptile exhibits.
