The Broadgreen House was built in the mid 1850s by one of Nelson''s early settler''s and is a fine example of a Colonial Cob House. All rooms have been faithfully and elegantly furnished to represent a lived in family home of the Colonial Victorian Period. The house is situated on landscaped grounds that include the Samuel rose garden and many heritage trees planted by the original owner. The sun drenched gardens make an ideal and safe place for a family picnic.

We welcome all visitors and offer group visits by appointment. We have exhibitions in our visitor complex and the house is decorated to match the seasons. The Broadgreen centre also offers a comfortable conference space.
