    Lamu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and largest town in Lamu island.The town is surrounded by of Swahili architecture. Some of the best attractions for visitors are Lamu museum,Lamu fort, Riyadha Mosque, Donkey Sanctuary etc.The Lamu attractions are mix of ancient era and beautiful beaches.In this town the streets are so narrow that the vechicles cannot move.If you want to know about more on Swahili cultural then you can visit during cultural festivals.Travellers can enjoy while visiting ancient building,shops,town squares etc.There are large number of beaches and nature park in Lamu.One can enjoy snorkeling ,scuba diving and swimming.

Donkey SanctuaryDonkey`s were the main source of transport in Lamu and for taking care of these donkey`s,the sanctuary was created.
KiwaiyuThe island is so charming and offers mangrove swamps and coral reefs.
Lamu FortThe Sultan of Pate, Fumo Madi ibn Abi Bakr build the fort.The fort was completed by the early 1820s.

Riyadha MosqueThis Mosque is the centre for the Maulidi Festival, which are held every year during the last week of the month of the Prophet´s birth.A large number of tourists from all over the world come Lamu to visit the mosque during Maulidi Festival.
Shela BeachLocated at the start of the beach is a mock fort built by an Italian entrepreneur.From Lamu, it is a 40-minute walk.It is perfect spot for windsurfing, sailing and water skiing.
