Rimini is a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and capital city of the Province of Rimini.Rimini`s huge expanses of sandy beaches are certainly popular, as are its clubs, bars and tourist attractions located along the beachfront. However, Rimini has so much more to offer than this and it`s worth venturing off the beach to discover its wealth of attractions.There are several large theme parks in and around Rimini, which offer great days out for the whole family. Rimini''s cathedral, known as the Maletesta Temple, dates from the 13th century and was originally a Gothic church. In the 15th century, however, a famous architect of the time, Leon Battista Alberti, was commissioned to rebuild the church in the Renaissance style and turn it into a mausoleum for Sigismondo Pandolfo and his wife.
